0600 is built on one career that has run a fashion brand, run the market where brands and buyers meet, run revenue at the platforms that sell to both, and advised on the numbers underneath. Erik Ulin has been the buyer, the seller and the operator. That is why a 0600 seat is filled by someone who has held it, and why a 0600 read is written by someone who has lived with the result.
Erik Ulin · Managing Director · New York and Stockholm
Full P&L, balance sheet and cash for the Swedish brand's US subsidiary: 300 wholesale accounts, ecommerce and four own stores, 45 people. The brand's US joint venture had just ended and the fashion wholesale business had to be rebuilt from zero. Revenue grew from $10M to $15M and the fashion wholesale line reached ten times its size, with openings at Saks, Nordstrom, Fred Segal and Trunk Club, and the brand sold on Amazon in its early apparel years. The operating infrastructure was rebuilt as well: headquarters moved from Los Angeles to New York, a new ERP, 3PL and warehouse system, and the sales, marketing and back-office team hired. Inventory, replenishment, returns and customer service were owned from the operator's side.
Chapter 2 · The market
President, Men's Fashion, UBM Americas · 2015 to 2018
Ran the place where brands and buyers meet.
A $50M portfolio of the largest menswear tradeshows in North America: MAGIC, Project, MRket, The Tents, The Collective and POOLTRADESHOW. Ten events a year, 2,000 exhibiting brands, 25,000 retail buyers, from department stores and specialty chains to independents. Drove the integration of Business Journals Inc. after UBM's $69M acquisition, bringing MRket and MR Magazine into the division and putting 2,000 to 2,500 men's brands under one roof in Las Vegas. Launched P1V0T, the first show section built for technology companies solving fashion's problems, the Next in Class programme with Parsons, the Project partnership with New York Men's Day, and took brands off the show floor with Equinox and WGSN. Three years of watching, from the middle of the floor, how US retail actually buys.
Chapter 2 · The market · a showroom in New York, market weekChapter 3 · The platforms
NuORDER · Ghost · 2020 to 2023
Built revenue at the technology that sells to fashion.
At NuORDER, the B2B wholesale platform acquired by Lightspeed in 2021, launched and ran the Marketplace as a new revenue line, reaching 150,000 retail buyers, and ran the largest digital tradeshow in the industry: 1,300 brands, 20,000 retailers and 100,000 qualified leads across 2020 and 2021, with partnerships at MICAM Milano, Copenhagen Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week. At Ghost, the venture-backed marketplace for excess inventory, took revenue from $1M to $15M in a year as the first senior hire, grew the commercial team from 12 to 50, built the CRM and reporting stack, and laid the groundwork for the $30M Series B announced in 2023.
Chapter 4 · The numbers
FTI Consulting · Arthur D. Little · 2004 to 2011
Learned the balance sheet before the showroom.
Corporate finance and restructuring at FTI Consulting in New York, advising debtors and lenders in bankruptcies and out-of-court restructurings, Lehman Brothers, Delphi Automotive and Intrawest among them. Before that, strategy and organisation work at Arthur D. Little in Stockholm for boards, management teams and private equity. MBA from Columbia Business School; M.Sc. from the Stockholm School of Economics. The finance is why a 0600 inventory read ends in a number a CFO can use, and why a market read ends in an investment case.

Why 0600
0600 is named for the 6am run. For more than a decade Erik has made it a point to get out and run in Central Park around 6am, posting a picture by the reservoir. The discipline is the point: the early hours are where the numbers get read before anyone else is awake.
Outside the office
Board member, Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, since 2022. Marathons in New York, Boston, Chicago and Berlin. Swedish and American, fluent in Swedish and English, strong Russian and French. Earlier: Swedish military intelligence, including a posting to the Embassy of Sweden in Moscow. New York and Stockholm.
Special situations
Due diligence and interim leadership.
When a brand is being bought, financed or fixed, the questions are the same ones the practices answer, written for a decision on capital. 0600 does commercial and operating diligence on fashion and consumer brands: the channels and the accounts, what the inventory is worth and how fast it turns to cash, the planning calendar, the team and the systems it runs on. The read is independent and methodology-based, and it is delivered in the form the deal needs: a memo, a model, or a working view of the data.
Drawn from brand P&Ls held as president, and a restructuring background at FTI Consulting (Lehman Brothers, Delphi Automotive, Intrawest).
When a seat has to be filled while the plan is executed, 0600 takes interim operating roles in brands: chief executive, president, chief operating, chief revenue or commercial seats, and US market lead, with a defined handover.
